Brent Farr is the President of Farr West Engineering. In addition to managing a successful engineering business, Brent has built a reputation among his clients and the engineering community as a skilled project manager, facilitator and public speaker. The focus of Brent's 15 year career has been providing services to public works departments and state and local government entities, primarily working with public water and wastewater utilities. He has developed long-standing relationships with many satisfied clients, and is dedicated to maintaining Farr West's reputation for superior client service and exceptional results.
Brent has managed many large and complex projects throughout Nevada, and continues to provide oversight for many of Farr West's projects. He has extensive experience with project management, administration, facility planning, facility design, construction management, financial planning, funding acquisition, rate analysis, water conservation, environmental work, and training.
Brent received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Brigham Young University and his master's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer and water right surveyor in Nevada, as well as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association and the Nevada Water Environment Association.
Away from the office, Brent enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports. Brent was raised in Alaska. He regularly travels there to visit relatives and enjoy Alaska's outdoor adventures.
