Zachary Walter is a Hydrogeologist at Farr West Engineering. Zachary provides coordination and field supervision for public drinking water supply projects, with a focus on improving source water quality. His broad range of experience includes groundwater exploration, production well installation, monitoring well installation, well abandonments, aquifer testing and water quality sampling. Zachary's comprehensive source water capabilities are a result of many arsenic related projects, as well as projects related to source water that exceeds maximum allowable levels for total dissolved solids, uranium, polonium, gross alpha, fluoride and nitrate.
Zachary's field experience comprises a wide range of techniques for collecting water quality samples for characterizing boreholes and existing wells. He utilizes his experience with sample data analysis and the collection of water quality and aquifer parameters in the development of source water quality solutions.
Zachary received his bachelor's degree in hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, skiing, mountain biking and backpacking.
