Project Highlight: City of Yerington Streets and Airport

The City of Yerington came to us with a street beautification project on a very limited budget. The project was unique for many reasons including NDOT funding and regulations, lighting requirements, the wet and clayey subgrades, limited right of way, and grade issues. We were able to utilize the funding down to the last penny by value engineering the pavement options and tight construction management. As a result, the street has become a centerpiece leading to the main historic district.

Farr West also serves as the City's Airport Engineer. We have been managing the airport entitlement program and implementing the master plan from pavement rehabilitation to new lighting and landing systems, as well as overseeing easements for expansion.
